Simply put.......how do we take out the passenger captains chairs?

Maybe a pic (if possible) of which bolts to unscrew would be most helpful and appreciated!

(From the image that I could see, it looks like you remove the plastic cowl first, and then you gain access to the runner bolts.)

From memory:

Lift the carpet bits covering the track bolts.

Remove the track bolts.

Remove the chair and track.

Repeat for other one.

Find an appropriate support for the chair upside down.

Now remove the stops (bolts through tracks) on one side of the track. Get ready with a rag as there will be grease and gunk from the tracks to deal with.

Disengage the lock with the lever on the chair and slide the track off the chair base. You will have a layer of gunk and grease, the plastic shields on each side of the wheels, and finally the track is free. Replace the shield in the track the correct way. Put track aside. Repeat.

Put the tracks back in the truck and cover the bolts with the carpet bits.

When handling the captains chairs, protect the wheels on the base. We use cardboard and some shipping wrap. Due care will do as well.

oh so you can't just take the chair off the rail. Removing rail and all sounds easy. Thanks!

Yeah its way easier than it seems to take the whole assembly off and put the tracks back in afterward. I did it alone in 20 minutes the first time.

I've seen a few people unbolt the chair bases. Don't do that. It leaves bolts protruding in the van (which is a hazard) and it is actually more work anyway.

Thanks for the info. Funny how I say it sounds easy to do, of course it is, my hubby is doing the removing!LOL
