SOLD to a happy camper and moving to Revelstoke!
Thanks Andrew and happy Delicatessen!!!
David
I'm selling my last Delica since I got the Pajero. It's a '92 Exceed, automatic, 7 seaters with Party sunroof. Side 2.5" exhaust, newer steering wheel, professionally painted 7" rims. Clean, good shape seats and fully serviced. 128,500km. Charcoal gray over silver. BFG A/T 30x9.5r15
I got it from southern Japan so no rust...
I've re-indexed the rear leafs so that it fits into 6'4" underground but could be brought back to full height if required.
Price: $6900

Good luck with the sale David, good price.
IMO this would be an excellent BC backroads camping machine that would allow a good roof rack without BC ferries overheight. That is if BC ferries returns to charging overheight. Never needed big ground clearance in a camper, do you really want to attempt major 4x4 obstacle and risk ruining a planned week long camping trip.

BUMP.
I'll be back on Aug. 9th and should be able to show it soon, as required. I also forgot to add that it's got DEPO headlights.
Seeya soon,
David

David,
We met when you stopped by my townhouse in South Surrey for the intercooler stuff off my last Deli. Looking at buyin another, this time in a low roof to fit in my garage.(79") Having owned 3, I am a little particular about the mechanical state of the trucks after being bitten a few times by overheating issues/ leaking pumps/ball joints etc..
How is the cooling system/ rad condition? How is the fuel pump? has it had the timing belt/oil seals replaced? (believe you said it was serviced, so I assume this is done) Any electrical issues with it? (modified DRL/sunroof etc..)
I like the blacked out wheels and choice of tires....good call.
How did you "re-index" the leafs? ..flipped them ?
If you don't want to spend too much time on the e-mails give me a call, I sent you an e-mail as well.

I just saw this Delica yesterday.
I was at Mardy's place looking for a few parts where David's Delica is residing at the moment, although it's not the first time I've oogled it.
It's clean and for the servicing he's done to it, it is a good deal compared to what is out there today.
It's stupidly cheap for it's condition and addon's.
Someone is getting a killer deal.

..can't count how many times I have heard "it's a good deal" Jesse...matter of fact, the last 2 Delica's which both have had issues related to running hot/ fuel pumps were "great deals" -but in the end, mostly for the diesel mechanics.
I am interested in this one in particular because I think David is a good guy, and have no doubt it would be a good van. Someone's character says a lot. Looking forward to seeing it.

That would depend on those other people's definition of a 'great deal'. According to 99% of Delica's on craigslist, they're all 'great deals'.
My idea of a great deal is one that I know the person, the history of the rig and looked it over myself.
You said it. Character says a lot.

Hey Chad, I didn't receive your email with number, mind to PM me... But no cooling issues, no electrical issues, DRL work fine but I took the fuse out as too many were busting their headlight control switch. Didn't want to take chance but fuse can go back if needed. Sunroof works, a bit slow at first as I haven't used it much. Probably just need clean/grease but at least the seals are all in great shape and no rust.
I just picked it up tonight from Mardy's yard and had a grin on my face the whole way back home. I have no idea why but this Delica is faster than any other Delica I've driven (quite a few!). It goes very well!
As for maintenance this is what I remember doing or getting done. The timing belt/tensioners/water pump were done in Japan at 80,000km. The rest was all done here, all at 114,000km when I picked up the van from the boat.
Depo headlights (best ones)
2 1/2" side exhaust,
BFG A/T 30"x9.5x15 mounted on custom painted Toyota 7" rims.
All oil (tranny/engine/diffs/transfer case...) regular 5000km for engine.
Delica tune (injectors tuned, valves adjustment, pump timing...),
Front/Rear Wheel Bearing / HUB Re-Grease,
Brakes done,
Torsion Bars adjusted
Alignment
Ball Joint checked/lubed.
Tie Rods / Steering Link; (Checked/lubed)
Sway Bar Bushing; (replaced)
Coolant Flush
Power Steering; Fluid Flush
Brake Fluid; Flush
Thermostat; (Replaced
Radiator Cap replaced
Power Steering Belt;
Alternator Belt;
AC Belt;
Air, fuel, oil... filter; all replaced
All Hinges greased
All compliance items (headlights, DRL, reflectors...)
EGR blocked.
Alpine stereo.
Mirror tainted window (better for sun reflection)
New smaller/clear front window rain cover.
Rear leafs re-indexed to make sure it fits in 6'4" undergrounds. I got Canada Spring to re-index them. Cost me $450. If you'd want the normal ones I could trade you with another regular set.
I bought this van directly from the south of Japan so really no rust. It was my wife's (kids) van and was only driven in Vancouver for the last 2 years (mostly commuting Vancouver to Maple Ridge).
I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things but that should give you an idea. I'll have the van checked over before letting her go just so that everyone has peace of mind but doing so I'll be pretty firm on my already low price...
Cheers,
David

Cheers!

Couldn't be happier with my new ride!
It was my first vehicle purchase and having such a honest and friendly seller sure made the process easier on me.
Thanks so much David, I'll take good care of her.
