Hi! There is so much info on this site, which is awesome!!! but I get lost easily, hahaha. I'm trying to figure out the differences between some of the Delicas for sale here in Vancouver. They seem kind of the same to me: exceed, super exceed, jasper, chamonix ect.
I already figured out the main differenced between L300 and L400....
Thanks for your guidance!

I think most of the L400 space gears (starting with 95 model year) around here have the 4M40 diesel engine. Pick your transmission then click through the trim levels to get an idea of the equipment. Trim levels: Royal Exceed is the fanciest followed by super exceed and exceed. Jasper and Chamonix are models aimed at skiers and outdoor players or something. The carpet is 56% groovier on those models.
If you poke around the site you will quickly learn who the reputable dealers and importers are.
This should get you started.
Welcome to the site!

Okay, as you have noted there is the L400 and the L300, where the engines differ with the 4D56T, a 2.5 litre with a turbocharger ~ and the 4M40, 2.8 litre with a turbo and an inter-cooler, to boot. In fact, apart from the names, the oil cap, the cockpit dome light and maybe the paint codes.... They don't have a heck of a lot in common. The L400 short wheel base is quite a bit longer than an L300's wheel base.
I haven't driven the L400 so to get a better perspective I would ask someone who has one.
As far as the L300 goes, these links might be of assistance:
L300 Vehicle Identification.
Common Acronyms
Be sure to check out the Delica FAQ Section.

Falco.
You can drive mine if I ever make it to a Deli meet on the mainland! ;)
-- I can answer some L400 questions for you if you like, but as others have said, there is a wealth of information on this forum. I read it for months before I got my L400.
