A moon roofed manual, IMO the best rig for a backroads camper.

A moon roof is the easiest to cover with a tarp and no-seeum netting; standing headroom inside the van. Nothing like watching the stars well falling asleep, for most seasons this was the only opening we kept open for air. On hot nights a small clip on fan blowing on you while you slept made even OK'nogin August camping comfortable. But, we didn't mind being woken with the rain on our face and getting up to close the roof. Also makes easy access to the roof top storage, had originally planned on a roof basket in front and cargo tub on the back for long trips (see my photo album). And for those that don't know, we had over four full summers of Delica camping with both a high and low roof (hers and his)

This is what we'd look for in a Delica.
