Drumster, I like the bambie bars on the front of your "other car". They look like really good cow catchers ~ I'll bet they are really good at scooping those pesky bicycles off the road, eh?

Falco.

I had my first flight in this cutie http://www.airport-data.com/aircraft/photo/163754.html earlier this week.

The original motivation was a couple of weeks ago when I couldn't fly because the Cherokees were all either in the shop (including the one I was going to fly) or booked by other people. Expanding my experience is good. I'm also rewarding myself for weight loss. When I started flying, I was far too heavy to fly a 152. Not any more... :-D

I've had to hold for Harbour Air at Langley a few times. On one flight the tower asked me if I was ready for immediate takeoff, with Harbour Air on short final. My instructor thought the controller was nuts for even asking. I've also flown through their wake turbulence.

They don't fly out of Langley any more. :-(

No pictures of it as it doesn't exist yet, but this guy, Sam Whittingham: http://timetogetnaked.com/ has sized me and put me on the list. I hope and expect to take possession of my handmade Naked Cycle mountain bike in Nov.or Dec. Lance has one of his bikes. Sam is also the world's fastest cyclist: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlUPjlLFzm0
And while I'm no pilot, I have had a few back-country flights in my time and have a soft spot for Beavers - Any Beaver drivers here? Heaps cool planes 8-)

Wow! those bikes look amazing. Ya, Kona, I've got a few thousand hours in Beavers here on the coast. Lovely airplane and doesn't get much better for aviation nostalgia. Once you go turbine, its hard to go back though. Still waiting for my chance to fly a Turbo Beaver.
