Have a look at this diagram.
Hope this helps.
But keep in mind you have to get a new one (appro. CAD $1000 ) if you have a problem with ECU or you get a replacement from us.

Thankyou
No doubt will get one from you at that price. Someone had told me that the Glowplug controller unit (ECU) was under the left hand side kick panel. I'm a tad confused/misinformed.

Question:
I have a recently imported '94 L400 4M40 turbo diesel. At ambient 0*C my glow plugs draw about 50 Amps initially and taper down to 32 Amps, just as relay drops out. Does this sound like a healthy situation? I'm in Edmonton and the temperatures will be dropping quite a bit lower this winter so I'd like to take care of any potential issues with the plugs sooner rather than later.
I am interested in your controller but I won't be out to Vancouver till next spring. I just want to make sure it will make it through this winter for starting.

Your draw is normal.
The stock L400 glow plug system (if working properly) works very well down to -20C. Just make sure that your battery is capable to deliver the necessary cranking power, your glow plugs are healthy, the main lead to your glow plug bus bar has 12V going through it and that you use 5W40 or 0W40 weight engine oil (lighter - better starting in winter).
An oil pan heater or block heater will do much better for starts than anything else.
A good option is splice the main glow plug lead wire into four and run it to each glow plug. This will ensure each plug gets the same voltage - on the stock bus bar the voltage drops as you get further away from the main lead.
