Hi all

Just got my "new" Delica home from Calgary -- I'm in love
But now that I've been driving it around the city for a while some lights have come on and the alternator belt is gone (broken off?)

I need to know if there is an equivalent part for this belt I could use or if I need to order the Mistubishi part?

I have a '92 Chamonix model.

Also is there a place to download an ENGLISH owner's manual??

Thanks for any help or suggestions
Edd

Hi Ed, and welcome, I don't know the belt number, but I'm sure someone here will. You could also wrap a string or something similar around the pulleys to get an aproximate length, and any auto parts store should then be able to help you. I'm about 3 hours away so I can't come over quickly, but if you need a garage I can refer you to a good place for imports.

Don't know alternator belt part number but see recent notes about manuals here:

http://www.delica.ca/forum/owners-manual-6867.html

Russek has repair details, etc for DIY or to show your mechanic.

New Zealand L300 is owner's handbook, not for DIY maintenance. Search on their site for L300.

The belt required was discussed a while back here...
http://www.delica.ca/forum/alternator-b ... -5840.html
and here
http://www.delica.ca/forum/matching-alt ... -2218.html
and possibly in these threads as well.

I do know that many people have found the belts locally at your standard auto-parts places. the advice of wrapping a string around it to measure and seeing what you can find at Canadian Tire / Napa / Partsource / etc. should also work.

If you require the help of an actual mechanic, I would recommend Kirkham Automotive, they are located near the Heritage LRT and have some experience with Delicas. (They don't do diesel work, or turbo work, but will do pretty much anything else on the vehicle, I'm sure belts are within their scope)

english language owner's manuals and workshop manuals can be found on the UK club website at http://www.mdocuk.co.uk

Just want to send out a thank you for the advice and links for finding a matching belt.
Can't wait to fix it so I can drive it again. Looking forward to more great advice here on this site.
Jason I'm sure our paths will cross one day.

Thanks
Ed
