If you post something that you claim to be true, be prepared to prompty post referece to facts. Otherwise it is hearsay or just an opinion and your comment should be prefaced as such.
Also, just because something has been repeated over and over, doesn't mean it is fact (ad nauseum).
To much misinformation about such things as "true milage", import costs/procedures and compliance related requirements.
We must be very careful. Google usually directs delica related searches to this forum.

Just because we don't have a PDF handy to post for every nit-pick you find, doesn't mean that we're not telling the truth.
Just because you don't agree with the truth doesn't mean that we're not telling the truth.
Repeating it may not make it fact, but ignoring dozens of previous threads on this forum and others which include references, names, and general consensus, isn't any better.
I think most of us are getting sick of you and a couple other recent registrants pulling out topics that have long since been settled with tons of information, and lots of proof, and trying to make a big deal of them. You aren't doing anyone any favours here.

You sit there typing up a storm but have never even picked up a wrench... nevermind imported, then modified a vehicle to pass inspection. A search of your username shows that you are just a
desktop mechanic with no credibility.

Hmmm...

So, shouldn't you be prefacing your comment with "IMHO", above? All you've done is search a username. What do you really know about this person's aptitudes, let alone their credibility?

Sounds like you're doing exactly what you're complaining others are doing.

funny you know so much about me... and your search must have been mighty time consuming if you read all 2467 of my posts. (and without having read all of them, I'm interested in knowing how you think you know exactly what I have and haven't done.)
You're right that I haven't done the full importation process myself, however I have been through the process for myself twice, and assisting others a few times. I have watched countless others as well.
As for modifying a vehicle to pass inspection, that I have done. Not only that, I have extensively researched what is required to do so in several different jurisdictions.
As for "picking up a wrench", not only have I done a fair amount of my own work on my vehicles, (and assisted others on theirs, both in person, and online) I have, by necessity, learned a LOT about how a Delica works. I have also posted extensive "how-to" articles about work on several of the accessory systems including detailed pictures. (including daytime running lights, and side marker lights, even though you say I've never done compliance mods)
As for credibility, I would argue that credibility on a forum such as this is earned, people will find you credible if you have a history of posting useful and relevant information, I know some people on this forum find me credible, and likely others can't stand to read my posts, but anyone reading this forum for any length of time will know my name, and have decided for themselves what they think of me. As a new poster who just joined, you start with no credibility whatsoever, you must work to earn your online reputation. So far, your method of accusing some of the most prominent and respected figures in the import community of being liars, coupled with your revival of long settled issues with your own brand of stated "facts" that are contrary to all proof that has been previously amassed, backed up with no proof of your own, does nothing to establish you as a credible source for much of anything.

On the other forums I participate on people are banished for this kind of rude and uncalled for kind of talk. Learn some manners or go away....
