its in the lower end of the ballpark I think people have paid between $800 and $2000, depends on how deep ya go. Make sure all yer seals and balancer belt is done at the same time or it could be a waste no matter how much you might have saved.

Don't forget the radiator too !!
That sounds good.........But it's the quality of the work and the knowledge that you really pay for.

Yes, sounds like a good deal - but for sure get the seals done.
My putt putt had the timing belt done on import only, but I was a wee bit ignorant at the time and was not aware that the T-Belt, Seals, waterpump, T-stat, balance belt & pulleys should all be changed as well. Ran for 2.5 yrs and started to get an oil leak. T-Belt contaminated so the whole works had to be done - and done right this time.
Still cheap insurance overall but wish I knew about this "support group" prior to picking up my van.
Good luck.

yes the rad should get replaced, don't forget the hoses, and make sure the rad cap is new and not swapped over, most of them from japan come with the rubber seal all dried and cracked so your cooling system can't get up to pressure.
