Hi There!

I'm new to the board. I keep seeing these Mitsubishis all over B.C. and now in Calgary where we live. They're intriguing.

We have spent year travelling al over Alberta, BC, Sask, Washington, Oregon, Idaho in our Baja bug, and VW microbus. We've often ended up in very bazaar places where you wouldn't expect to find a one wheel drive vehicle. Then we got our Mercedes Unimog about ten years ago. It goes where ever you point it . . . slowly.

These days we seem to be touring on our motorcycles most of our spare time and are looking for something for carrying a couple of dirt bikes (snugly is OK) down to Oregon and maybe Nevada or Mexico. We've never had what folks call 'Normal' vehicles and the Mitsubishi's look interesting. So, here I am looking and researching.

My wife and I are in Calgary, AB. We've seen a number of Mitsubishis around including the classic Delica and what I believe to be the Exceed. Anyone from Calgary here? We'd love to get together so we could have a look at one of these things first hand and close up.

Hi, I'm in Calgary. Got my Delica about four months ago and have driven it about 10000K without any problems, including a trip to the Yukon and Alaska of about 8500K in a two week period, although I did do a lot of work before I left to ensure a trouble free trip. The biggest issue is maintaining speed on long hills - it will climb anything but you have to be patient. You are welcome to take a look at my Delica - just send me a message. Norm.

Sounds good norisan. I've been too busy with work and renovations as of late.

Are you heading to Peters tonight for the get together? We're planning on being there. May be in the Unimog or the smart.

Sorry I missed it - had full intentions to be there but got called away at the last minute. Any pictures?

No pictures from me, but I know others took plenty. Hopefully they'll post up on the Peters thread. I didn't even think to bring a camera. I brought a tape measure so we could see when the inside dimensions are like.
