See Josh... part of the reason for not wanting for you to get your own section was because you think that because you're different you're special.
Seriously though, good idea. And truth be known, I'd be interested to know how many gassers are here, and how many of those are north of 50N or 51N. I suspect that's where the bulk of them are.

The beautiful Bulkley Valley basically starts in Houston and ends in Hazelton where the Bulkley River joins the Skeena. On the way it flows through Smithers and Moricetown where Natives net fish as the river narrows and rips through a deep canyon. Houston is 3.5 hours west of Prince George via Highway 16. Google Smithers or Houston to find out more.

It's not so clean... that was very short lived. But in my defense, the silver bullet begs for dirt. Although it sure did look perdy all gussied up.
Anyhow, its not uncool to have "gas" anymore folks... so step up and admit it! Is there any more of us out there?

Great thread! I am the proud owner of a 93 GLX gasser here in Calgary. With the mayhem that is summer, I have yet to do a formal introduction here but am very grateful of the unlimited resource that is Delica.ca. Thanks everyone! I have had the van for 2 months and 10,000 km's. Working out some kinks(DRL fried my light switch) but so far really enjoying and impressed with the ride.

I have a gasser!
Have had for close to three years now. Glen at CCautos told me that his other mechanic said. And I quote, "Its like driving a sports car compared to the diesels!". And after driving both I have to agree. But for those that don't believe me, I'll gladly have a stop sign conversation. Well, once you catch up with me.
Looking to add more oomph now. Just a wee bit more horse power. Any thoughts? Kinda tossing around the idea of a turbo. I'm pretty sure the gas engine is also the same one used in old eclipses.
So after three years. No problems, easy starts, long road trips, turning it into my home on occasion and hauling my work equipment and toys. The Transformer is a pretty dam fine machine.
And when I Rino line the rest of the beast in the spring. It will truly be an urban assault vehicle.

Do you have a 2.4 litre gasser? I believe there is a 16 valve head available. That would have a bit more HP plus better breathing and an increase in fuel mileage. I know fuel mileage isn't an issue in my 95 L400 2.4 but the 16 valve head would be an improvment.
If you wanted more power that would be the first logical step, cams, or turbos could follow.

I have a 2.0L Manual Petrol one, 4G63 wide block makes for easy conversion of 'better' 4G63, plenty of 2WD ones here with 4G63 DOHC 16v Turbos.

I just picked up my 92 exceed gasser from the rail yard.
White with the tinted windows, looks like an Imperial Storm Trooper on wheels.
2.4 with the Auto (for the wife)
Not as much power as I had hoped. (I have driven a diesel version and this seems pretty simmilar). I think there may be a problem with it somwhere. It eats gas like crazey too!
I'm starting with the thermostat. The temp gage was running pretty low, all the way home.
Next is the plugs and timing, air filter,
After that perhaps the catalytic converter - it appears to be getting very hot (I know it is supposed to, but I think it is too hot from possibly running too rich)
Any ideas from the stratosphere?

I grew up there! Hazelton to be exact! Some of the most beautiful country in BC.
