Mark,

is there a way we can put together a petrol parts section in the L300 technical. It might simplify the needs of the minority! pretty please.

No, we will torment you with a lack of support...

...and then laugh at your misery. :o

Serious question though, did your van retain the 4WD capability? So, the only thing changed was the engine and the transmission (and maybe the first propeller shaft)?

Were any of the gassers built 4WD?

Josh welcome to the even more exclusive section of the Northern Delica owners - the gassers.

So far parts for the engine have been easy to find (there are a plethora of Chrysler and Mitsu products with the 4G64) and cheaper for filters.

Just look here for more on gasser:

http://www.delica.ca/forum/first-impres ... -4109.html

The P24W is exactly the same as the diesel, except faster, more powerful, lighter, and has better handling all for the same fuel economy.

To update that post I now have put 23,000 km in the 9 months since picking up the silver surfer. It has been to some remote rivers for early spring (read snow) steelhead fishing and is equal off road to the diesel. In fact last weekend 4 of us and all our gear went fishing for chinooks in camping wherever on the Kitimat for three days. The fishing trips have convinced my fishing friend to get a Delica - although he wants an L400 for family purpose and to tow the boat.

I'll post a few part numbers shortly for filters, belts, etc.

James

Well -- let's give this one a try...

Under the "Parts" section, I've now created a subforum entitled "Petrol-Specific"

:-D

Misery? Huh? All I can do is grin when I press on the gas peddle and the Silver Bullet responds! (oh wait, you meant misery from the lack of support. :-D )

Thanks Mark. And James... i'll be seeing you shortly, we really need to lift your new one!
