So I am currently getting a serious mod done to the Delica at CC autos. Probably the biggest horsepower gain you can get in one mod. Its a lot of work though... are you curious? Its got me stoked.
Swapping my engine... soon to be a petrol power plant like docsavage's beauty. It will truly live up to its name "the silver bullet"

Hi, josh,
you dont need to swap engine if you need a delica gas engine Delica. i know somebody in alberta who is selling his gas engine no modification on the engine mount or other thing. you can modify the engine & or head but the structure of the engine mount & other wont be the same.as when running your delica in the highway. this is just my though.
he has this gas delica with gas engine. i think he would sell if for $5,500 for the car. its a grade4 car with 8 passenger. green color. good price & car no rust.
Cheers;

Honestly I am not completely sure with all the options, but I am just going with the regular gas engine that came in a 92 model (pardon my ignorance!)

Konadog, I am super stoked. I drove James' van and couldnt get over the difference. I am really looking forward to it.

Mardy, thanks for the suggestion, but I do love my van, and I worked out a barter of sorts with Glen.

A Cummins 5.9 would be a nice upgrade.

Reminds me of some pictures I saw of a police special VW Beetle made for the French highway patrol. It looked stock until you noticed the 5-bolt hubs and the air vents in front of the rear wheels. It was in fact mid-engined, with a Porsche 911 engine where the rear seat used to be.
Sort of a pre-historic Cayman, come to think of it...

I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but my old VW mechanic had a ratty old mid-seventies VW bus... with a Porsche motor in it! Crazy fast. He would do off the line races with guys who thought he was kidding around and poking fun at his old bus - until the light turned green

VAH- ROOM!!!
