Greetings and Salutations... New Delica Owner

Hello Delica Canada Community,

For close to a year now I've been lurking silently around the forum, gaining bits of info here and there about what has become my dream vehicle. All the while I was really impressed by everyone's enthusiasm for the Deli, and the helpful advice and insight regularly provided here for newbies and veterans alike. So when I decided that I would jump on the JDM bandwagon it was clear to me that there is a abundance of resources available.

So yeah... a little over two weeks ago I purchased a white '92 Exceed, low roof, from the first Canadian owner. So far I've been loving every moment behind the wheel, and looking over the L300 technical and mod forums has got my mind filled with all sorts of project ideas.

About me: Live and work in Burnaby doing IT system development. Limitted mechanical aptitude but strong desire to learn more and be self-sufficient for vehicle maintenence (pragmatically at least). Spend much of my off time playing in the great outdoors (skiing, climbing, mountaineering, etc..), for which the Delica seems a perfect match.

I look forward to meeting other Deli enthusiasts at a future meet, as it would be nice to put faces to all the posts and spend time talking shop. Of course I've got a ridiculous number of questions already, but I'll file them under the various subforums as appropriate when a search query proves unsatisfactory :)

Cheers,

Rob

yes yes, salutations!!

I want to be the first to welcome you from the high roofers clan. Although some consider us aloof, high brow or otherwise lofty we are still just regular Delica owners :-)

Welcome Rob.

I'm a newby too, and having a great time...even though it's lonely in Ontario.

Cheers,
Shane.
