Belated introduction

Post by phunka »

Hey, I've been around the board for abit, and just realized I never introduced myself. I'm 25, and currently live downtown, in Vancouver.

I moved here from the north island (port alice) last summer, and have been working as a steel stud framer. Originally I am from Saskatchewan (prince albert, know it?)

Currently, I have no delica, but I am definetly in the market, and have plans of buying one sometime in April/may. We will use it for camping/fly-fishing trips and exploring this beautiful province.

Well I think thats all, take care !

Hello Phunka,
I have not done a proper introduction yet either, but still I type!
Enjoy this excellent site with all its great knowledge, fellowship and support!

I guested on the site for months before I bought my Deli and it saved me some headache
and money.(I still got kind of lucky.)
You can gather from the various posts what to look for and what you like.

I have not ever had a vehicle that is so consistently useful, as well as makes
me smile every time I look at it.

You might have seen these already

sort of a outdoors theme with 80's cheese and an Indiana Jones wanabee.

A good one for unbridled Delica fanatacism, goes well with morning coffee.
The music with this one cracks me up every time!

Good Luck with the hunt!
Right on! 8-)

Welcome phunka,

I too am relatively new here and have benefited immensely from the experience an helpfulness here. As with Luna-Sea, in the short time I've had my Deli it has proven Exceed-ingly practical. :-)

I've been laid up for 1 1/2 weeks now with an excruciatingly painful leg injury. Turns out, the most comfortable place to sit/lye is the back of the Deli in a laid back captains chair with my leg up on the bench. When my wife is driving me somewhere my hamstring gets a nice massage from the vibration of the engine. Tried to convince her to just drive around all day today with me in the back, but no dice.

Never thought the Deli would make such a good ambulance.

Good luck on your search. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

It's one of the reasons I bought the delica!
Also see my post here about some of my adventures in event communications and first aid.

I have found these vehicles to be absolutely amazing, I use mine as a mobile office, an ambulance, a motor home, and a moving truck, a limousine, there just doesn't seem to be anything these beasts can't do! (er... well there is the whole accelerating thing, but that's overrated anyway! ;-) )
