1978 mercedes benz 240d automatic transmission. seems all good except needs rear brake work. theres oil on one of the injectors and transmission fluid on the bottom of the bell housing. wee'll see what turns up when i get a chance to look it over better

I guess if you transplant a veggie kit in your MB it will void the collector plates? That would be too bad but they are among the best vehicle out there to use veggie aren't they? Will you need to get a haircut to drive such a classic vehicle?

if i get the plates, then convert it maybe ill slide by.. but then would that void any claims i might make if its discovered that i altered it?

my hair is pretty short btw :)

Just make sure to get your collector plates registered to you before touching your new baby in any way. Only problem is that if you do end up in an accident with collectors plates and modified (veggie) there's chance ICBC would void your claim. (It's ICBC after all!) I guess it's 'cause you get some kind of driving restriction (and also discount) if you have collectors plates...

I checked your video on the temp sensor, interesting. I'm using a thermal switch with my system so as soon as I start my van I flip my wvo switch and it automatically turns the system on once the oil reaches operating temp (usually within 3-5 min.) It's been working great for me. We did add a LED to let me know when the system is on.

my mom says she thinks of me differenlty now that i own a mercedes

ya... im glad i wont have to do any fabricating or welding on this for the tank. ill just put a small tank in the trunk for diesel...
