This is only slightly off-topic: what are the opinions on coverage to have? I've read about people finding it best to aquire parts and labour yourself to avoid getting written off... Is comprehensive a waste of money?

About the same here. It all depends on your driving history. They are the same to insure (in BC) as LHD vehicles. I actually saved money switching insurance from 2000 Windstar to 1993 Delica.
