The Deliberator is starting without much cranking, but when shes cold it sounds like its one of the cylinders is miss-firing. Glow pugs? once its warm it wont do it at all, only when starting cold (after sitting in the ski hill parking lot all day).

you are in dear need of a deli-tune!!! My van was rough on cold start too , the hole van had the shake and a fair amount of white smoke coming out the tale pipe. Clening the injector and tuning them up took care of all that(for me anyway) you can search delica tune or delitune and you will find others post discussing this issue. Pedro

good chance one or more glow plugs is shot aswell

just check and make sure your ac button isn't in the "on" position. I activated mine by mstake while cleaning the dash and the extra load at cold start made the engine shudder a bit until it warmed up.
