Hi /Bonjour,

My name is Christian, and i am verrrrry interested to get a Delica, i leave on the south-shore of Montréal in Carignan.

The main reason i whant one is that my familly (4) do a lots of wild camping, and i like to go do some off road (light) with my Jeep. But i am a bit scare about the cost of maintenance of it, are they good? it is easy to find peices and a garage to fix them aroud Montréal?

Also what are they AWD and 4x4?

Also i have phone at Amazing Auto Imports and i have a chat with Madri, he told me that i can maybe have the chance to see (and toutch) aDelica near Montréal!!! Member Delicat brother.

So i hope to get some answer here, i will look later at all the post that might help me also.

Ty
Christian

Welcome to the group and here's hoping your interest in these vehicles plays out in you purchasing one.

As to your question about the drive capabilities: these are part-time 4WD vehicles. The drivetrain is either rear-wheel two-wheel drive or all-four-wheel drive (hi and low settings available).

Big difference between AWD and 4WD, but I suspect from your line of questioning you already know the difference.

Salut Christian,

I imported a Delica for my brother in Montreal last summer. Mardy at Amazing Auto was immensely helpful with the entire process, servicing... My bro flew here to pick it up and drove back home.

He hasn't had any issues but who knows! Only problem is that he lives in an appartment and doesn't have access to plug it in the winter so at time it's a little hard to start but as of yet I don't think he failed to start it throughout the winter.

If you'd be curious to see it in person I could pass your information along... just PM me your info.

As for reliability and parts, I think they are quite reliable if properly serviced following their importation. Parts are readily available here in BC for sure, a little harder in Qc but not impossible that's for sure. My bro knows to call me if he needs something and I'd ship it right away, new or used parts as required. But still, there's lots of parts already accessible as the drivetrain and other components are also found on domestic vehicles.

A bientot,
David
