hi there,
i'm in my first week of owning a white 90 exceed with 92000km that i picked up at japanoid.
so far it's been great - will be getting an additional front skid plate for the front and some new BFG AT tires.

has anyone tinted their rear windows themselves?
i was thinking of doing it and would love some recommendations/concerns that folks may have.

We pulled the tinting out of the rear gate window in order to be able to use the rear mirror (not the one on the windshield, the one that is on the back of the van looking downward). With the towing we do, we found it too difficult except in the brightest sunlight to be able to use the mirror to line up the trailer hitch.

Just something to consider if you're going to be using the rear gate mirror.

You had to pick the rear window. The problem you come across is trying to get all the bubbles out from under the film in between the defog lines. Its not impossible, just a real pain if you don't normally do that kind of thing. Its a big window and lots of lines. I thought about doing mine, but after talking with a few people settled for having it done properly at a shop. I took mine to Shades in Port Moody. $240 bucks for the rear 5 windows. A good shop will remove the windows and tint on the bench. It ends up being a better job all way round. They won't remove the rear , but all 4 side windows pop out rather easy.

Do a search on window tint , you'll find pics of my van before and after tinting

Take the windows to a shop and save $$$
