Does anyone have a supplier for window frames, and other body components in North America? One is rusted quite badly and I need a replacement.

I noticed looking at some pictures posted here that a lot of your vans don't have sliding windows, so you don't have frames like mine.

If there are no suggestions on window frames, how about getting fixed glass? I could get some cut, but it would be flat, and I would much prefer to have the correct curve in it.

I failed miserably at tinting my windows (payed someone to do it right) and I am not about to try and heat up tempered glass to bend in.

Any thoughts?

More.. I have the slider type and considered replacing them with popout styles. It would be easy to do but physically, but getting the interior finishing panels, hinges and latches would need a good donor vehicle.
In the UK I've read that it's popular to put popouts in the rear two wndows and sliders in the front for camper conversion, because of good ventilation.
I am fixing the small amount of rust in my sliders with Tremclad paint (just in the tracks) and replacing the vinyl guides on each of the three windows for $60 per window.
This work has to be done with the window assy removed of course!
Have you had the frames off the Chassis yet?

I have a LHD with the sliding door on the opposite side. I think the frames for the rear a specific to the steering wheel side. Can you post some dimesions for the frames you have?

H Leafster, I originally, and still think slider windows are the thing to have, because of the ventilation possibilities. From what I see from the inside finishing of the window trims, aside from possible colour differences of either beige or grey, is the need to remove interior side panels prior to getting access to the window pillar trim mounts. The minimum effort would be to pry the top edge of the side panels loose first.
For me , if the cosmos would allow, would be to have both rear left and right windows as pop-outs and the front pair as sliders. But alas, it is not so. My rear left window is a fixed, rubber only mount, a safety feature for small-person limbs and slider doors conflicts, and likely to be an unappealing benefit to the pop-out fans.http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p244 ... 57WTMK.jpg but I could be wrong!
I will wait untill my Delica head issue is resolved by Glen @ ccaotos and see if I have two cents left before I can justify modding expenses for windows. Glen is treating me well, but things like this are large money, similar to US military contracts

Hey folks, talking 'bout windows, i would be interested in trading my sliding door pop-out window and the one directly behind the driver seat for the slider type as i camp in my van quite a bit and could use the better ventilation that the sliders has to offer..if anybody interested, please pm me and we could discuss a possible swap, my widows are mint..Cheers..

:D Hey thanks a lot man, i have been at sea with the coast guard, i actally still am, we just happend to come in and tie up in Prince Rupert due to bad weather, so i have access to internet.. i still have two more weeks to go before i will be off for a month.. I had the chance to have Bruce over at my place and hung out with him in Victoria for a bit, i then got a good friend of mine show him around and show him a good time, cause i had to join ship and go to sea.. too bad i missed the meet, but i checked out the photos that adrock posted and looks like you guys had a blast! I think Bruce was pretty impressed with Canada, and if he manages to convince his wife, then we should have him back in no time! i should be back more often on the site when i get back home on the 18th of April, up until then i try to check in and keep up whenever i get the chance when the ship ties up.. Keeping in touch! :P Cheers! ...uh, anybody wants my windows? sliders anyone?

Welcome back too Francois, you would have enjoyed the Delica meet! Bruce said your not too bad of a guy to spend a little time talking with. He also said you and I can really go on about anything marine.

Don't give up your sliders man, I have both and way prefer the sliders. I draged my wife Delica to the meet and one reason was those sliders; try taking a midnigth wiz out of a pop out window! I do want the same awning that Thomas and you want, simple and cheap (both the his awning and I'r).

Take Care - hope you have some smooth seas too, :D

roll mine? I'm hoping I get the veggie oil conversion before I roll it. I put in some B40 today just for fun, and it was 98.5 instead of 99.9 haha. Smells nice.
