Hey,
Check out the new bumper we built. Used heavy walled 2-1/2 inch steel pipe, 1/2 inch steel brackets and a standard reciever. Looks pretty stock, even recycled the support flashing for the top of the brackets. We took the original rubber ends, inverted them and stuck them inside the new pipe for ends.
We put tent poles inside the tube for the awning that's coming. Will send pick of that too - oh yeah, and the safari rack. Should be done in the next few weeks.

nice work tomas.. I have a simular mod (thers a pic on here somwhere), a moto carrier tray, but no reciever hitch. this gives me the idea of welding one in. did you have to brace it at all or is it just attached to your stock bumper mounts? if so, how much wieght are you planing to pull?

We just went to the original mounting holes.
The stock supports were beefed up with 1/2" plasma cut brackets with the same bolt pattern.
The bumper/hitch was designed to pull by 12 foot zodiac inflatable boat.
The trailer weighs more than the boat. Even so, with the boat on the trailer I can still lift the rear end of the trailer (roar!).
The max weigh - boat/motor/trailer - is far less than 800 lbs. The tongue weight may be 125 lbs if I load the thing badly.
We had three guys stand on it, didn't budge. Then jacked the truck up by it. Didn't move.
This is a lot more bumper than I had on my Dakota and we used to haul this boat/trailer setup everywhere with that.
Not designed to haul anything huge, that's for sure.

i built a custom rear bumper with a propane tank mount and a trailer hitch. i told the customer no more than 150 lbs in the hitch but he shows up here with the rear bumper sitting at a 22 degree angle...WTH?!? he was towing a uhaul with at least 500 lbs on the hitch, the spot welds had starting popping so keep an eye on those...scary...

Whoa. I won't be doing anything like that.
Like I said, no more than 200 lbs on the tongue at any given time.
We'll see how it pulls - the trailer is now wider than my van. The Delica is somewhat narrower than my previous vehicle, a Dodge Dakota. Hopefully there won't be too much fishtailing.
Worse comes to worst and I'll get rid of the trailer. The boat folds down into a bag anyway, I'll just toss it inside with the outboard. A bit more setup and teardown but what the hey.

We're amazed how well it pulls a 3500lbs plus trailer, not that we use it for 120 km highway travel. The brakes and suspension on the Delica seem better suited to that kind load then our Astro van rated at 5500lbs (trailer has E brakes). My old Dakota couldn't pull it up a 5 % slop of gravel with needing to lock the hubs - no posi.

Thomas, what kind of boat is wider on the trailer then the Delica, yet will fold up to fit inside of it??

Really some we need to start a Mod category! OK, not for competition boys - just a area with a list of mods, pictures, and details under the heading of your nick.

I have a Quicksilver Inflatable boat. The floor breaks into three pieces and the whole thing folds into a big bag. The trailer is 6x14 so I can see it quite clearly out the sides of the delica.
I throw the boat into the odd floatplane. It's pretty cool.
Got a ten horse outboard on it. The rig just rips.
I use it for flyfishing because I can stand up in it without risking a flip yet it's low enough in the water not to spook fish or wildlife.
I have a big camouflage blind for the top of it too with grass and reeds and stuff.
Been 12 feet away from a big bull moose one year. Too scared to move, take pictures or breathe.
I have a longer lens now...
