Plugs (spark and frost)

Hello
I hope I've posted this correctly!
I was wondering about what size (and recommendations) for new spark plugs.
Also, has anyone installed a block heater? I've checked out a Webasto heater, but it's too pricey. Apparently if I have the frost plug diameter I can purchase something off the shelf, but, I think I also need a heater that has the correct angle.
Thanks for your help.
Marc

If you can find a suitable section of hose you can install a circulating heater. These are often easier to install than ones which bolt in to a frost plug hole on the block. Check and see what is available at Napa,Cambodian tire ,Lordco etc.

i recommend the lower rad hose heater over the POS circulating heater.
i installed a wabasto in one of the Delicas and the lady loves it.
i would go to a manual glow system, easy to do and you do not have to worry about the super glow system crapping out on you.
make sure you check the muffler bearings on a regular basis, if they go it can cause some real damage.

these are particularly problematic on the diesel systems. :D

For those of us who are not familiar with the acronym, what is a POS circulating heater?

sorry, Peice Of S**t...
every circulating heater i have installed in the last 2 years has developed leaks in the housings plus they don't work as good as a lower rad hose heater...

What particular brand have you been using? Too bad it took you two years to figure it out
Perhaps it is a case of sematics, but I reckon all remote coolant heaters circulate coolant by acting like a thermosiphon.
I installed one on my FJ40 quite a few years ago and never had any trouble with it.
If you can configure any remote cooant heater element to mount underneath your battery tray, you have the added benefit of a slight increase in the ambient air temp around your battery.

only since i started bringing the Delica units. there was barely any room to mount them up and then after a few months the buggers would start leaking
"i want to exchange this under warranty"
"no problem, we ahd a bad batch"
okay. then the new one start leaking with in the year...the customer would call after a few months and let me know "i have a wet spot"
hence the swap to lower rad hose...or better yet the wabasto...
i should post up shots of the wabasto install i did...very nice and clean...
