Meet 5 Sept08 Friday 6pm On, Burnaby/Vancouver
Posted: Mon Sep 01, 2008 8:45 pm
Hello Deli-ites,
Time for another Meet-up, Show N Tell, Idea Exchange, Conversation, trip planning (bring your ideas for events). Rain or Shine.
The New T-Shirts by Falco will be available to purchase.
All non-deli owners welcome, see how each is customized.
The usual format for new folk: we park all together, open all the doors, and snoop around. Ask your questions, chances are someone can show you the answer. Typical common items: removing bench to make permanent bed, installing dual battery, battery charger, microwave, tail-gate lift, tire sizes, roof racks, trailer hitch, etc.
This coming Friday, 5 September 2008. 6pm on.
The meet is at the famous McDonald's where we had our largest turn-out ever, 22 deli's at once ... let's try to beat it this time... byo camera.
Meet at the McDonald's on Burnaby/Vancouver border, at Boundary Road. Cross Street Broadway/Lougheed (same Street, it is called Broadway in Vancouver, but Lougheed in Burnaby.
From North Van, exit the highway at 1st Avenue exit, follow the curving road , in the left lane, to the lights at Rupert. Turn left (East) into First Ave, follow for about 1/2 mile as road dips under the highway until Boundary Road. Turn right (South) into Boundary Road. Travel several blocks till lights at Broadway. Turn right, into McDonalds. Or, preferable for those who know the area, turn right the block before McDonald's, into the parking lot behind the business just before the McDonalds (just look for the Deli traffic jam).
From Vancouver, best to take 1st Ave, then turn right at Boundary.
Since we're not in the actual McDonald's parking lot, don't have to eat there. I will bring Rice crispy squares.
From 6pm on, sunsets at 8. If people want to hang around, there are street lights in the parking lot.
Out of towners welcome, the TardisDeli Motel has a very comfy guest room for the first responder, the living room also available, after that park in our quiet backyard and enjoy urban camping in your deli.
If you get lost, or arrive late and want to ensure we're still there, phone TardisDeli Jay on his cell 604-961-1390
