Background: when I picked up my van from the mechanic I helped him put the final stuff back together (I figured this was only fair as I had taken a lot of it apart before he even got to see it) when we were done I had 1 bolt left over... and the glow plugs and tachometer didn't work...

So, today's question:
What single bolt, when removed will disable both the glow plugs and the tachometer without affecting any other vehicle operations (or at least none other that I could find)

And no, this isn't a plea for help, I already figured it out... took me a while, but I got it...

And the answer is... On the head, centred between the middle 2 glow plugs, and half way down the side of the engine on the passenger side, and quite difficult to get at, is a bolt holding 2 ground wires, 1 for the tach, one for the glow plugs....

that must have driven you nuts trying to trace that down... you have to love it when the fix is easy though...

It's about high time you got that thing out of Strathmore! People were telling me that I didn't have the only Delica in town anymore. When I was told where this other van was I stopped by to have a look and saw that it was your disassembled van. Glad to hear you have it back together again.
