I am flying out to Van next week to pick up the Delica. Will post pics when I have the thing in hand. Should I be this excited? Hey, does anyone have any knowledge of tent attachments? A full conversion is a few miles off, with 4 babies in tow......

Hi, let me know if you want to use our guest room, in Burnaby. Can send me a pm private message (log in and click into little envelope icon beside the login/logout icon).
Tents: Costco sold $299.00 Sportz brand for full size vans, which has a sleeve attached to tent that bungee cords around rear of vehicle, then you can leave your rear door open or closed during the night. 10ft x 10ft Tent is free standing so just unbungee the sleeve and tent holds yr spot during day when you're off exploring the area. Sportz is sold under Napier brand in Canada. If you can't find it onlilne, I will hunt for link.
Side tents not so common, there is one that WV vans use, I think Delicat posted link a couple months ago.
Side awnings need a roof rack to mount the awning to (Erebus has one). We have the awning, but havent figured out how best to attach it (as I have made a rule about no more holes drilled into my Deli).
4 babies, really, what's the story. And are you certain your van has factory fitted shoulder belts in the rear?
We removed our rear bench to make a camping platform bed, but that won't work for you if carrying lotsa kids.
Let us know when you're in town, so we can organize a mini meet locally (even just a evening meet, so we can put names to faces).
Cheers, Christine.

Be sure to get your Delica tuned up before you head back to MB. There are some excellant mechanics that know these vans inside and out. They'll let you know what you should and shouldn't do right away to your new import. Check with MardyDelica, you'll find him all over this site and he'll hook you up.
I'm in Alberta and didn't get the "Delicatune" when I picked up my van last year and had to wait 7 months before I could get my van back there..............after I realized that I should have got it done. It is way better now that it has had it's tune up and I thought it was running good before. More power and better economy!
And yes you should be excited. The cool factor of these vans is a 15. (That's on a 1-10 scale!)
