I assume you mean at idle? It's a diesel thing. Our bus was worse before the ccautos tune-up, but it still shakes :M :-D

when diesel vehicles are cold in initial start, they tend to vibrate more. after warm up if vibration exists, it will need injector cleaning.

It could also be your engine mounts. They make a world of difference.

This was after the vehicle was warmed up and driven. She was shaking like a seizure. So motor mounts, tranny mounts. Would this require a changing of them?

If it's shaking like a palsied-old-man AFTER warming up, then it's more than likely the mounts, and probably changing all of them would be a good idea.

Excessive engine movement can wear/damage the hard points (both on the engine and on the chassis), shake loose components/parts on the engine, transfer the movement to the cabin, etc.

Hi. Lando,
you need to tune your deli in order to make it work well.
Most of this delica need to be tune. as they never been service in japan.
service is expensive than the car in japan. so just need a propere tune to make it work. if need help pls contact me anytime.
Cheers;

Has it always been shaky? Or is it only shaky when driving? If it's nothing mechanical, it could be the tires of all things. After a trip up a logging road our Deli started shaking. The steering column the most. And only while driving. We hung out the window to see if the tires were wobbly but nothing. We figured it was a ball joint but had the tires checked out. Old 2001 tires were the culprit. They looked fine but on the inside the side wall was worn away. Once we switched them everything smoothed out. And better fuel economy I might add.
