Wet Floor (driver & passenger sides) after wet driving day

Does anybody else have a soaked floor after an hour or so driving in the rain? My Deli is quite free of rust but gets wet up front. Worst is the drivers floor where the pedals are. I peeled up the carpet there and noticed a rubber (plug?) that could be the culprit and might replacing.......other than that I have no ideas

I'm not 100% but I think its a fairly common problem (never had the problem myself). You can use the search button for "leak" or try this link by Bruce aka Mystery Machine

This is a common problem. There's a seam somewhere behind the headlights that always leaks. Usually when Delicas are brought over and the headlights switched to E-code folks put some sealant along the seam, but it sounds like this didn't happen with yours.
Here's the fix:

There is another spot that is prone to water ingress, it's the top corners of the windshield frame, right where the edge of the rain gutter is. That is another seam that tends to wear out with age, lets water in, and rusts.
what i did to fix it on the Landmaster is clean up the rust, treated it with Plasti-Cote rust converter (Black bottle, yellow label, smells like poo, and available just about everywhere), primed/ painted it, THEN I used some windshield silicone (Low viscosity stuff, runs into the cracks and seals it)and regular (black) silicone to fill in the larger gaps.
the windshield stuff flows down and gets in the deep down crevasses and the black stuff plugs the bigger holes up top. In the end you can hardly tell that I was mucking about there at all, and the best part is, no more leaks!!
