I was wondering if anyone has ever changed from sliders to pop-outs. I have a slider on the drivers-side rear that I'd like to change out (my dogs love trying to pry themselves to freedom).

Any information/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

I'm doing the opposite. Maybe we could switch, but you're in Victoria and I'm in Calgary... That makes things a little tough.

stubblebut - you should pm jfarsang. We have sliders as well (he has pop outs), and said if I wanted to switch a window (which I don't ) he would get the switch done. That was today.

Not to throw rumours around, but i remember reading somewhere on here that you can put sliders in pop out, but pop outs wont go in sliders. I never understood it. Doesnt really make sence so it probably aint true, just throwin it out there.

But do vans with sliding windows have the bolt locations for the pop-out hinges?? Sliding windows are held in with clips so will fit any L300 variant, but you need to make sure that the 'captive nuts' for the pop-out hinges are also present in the sliding window L300's.

They might well be swappable, but it's worth checking in any case. I can't answer that one because I've only ever fitted sliders to pop-outs, not the other way.....

There are two hinges and the 'pop-out' lever, so that's six bolts per window (except the sliding door where both windows types are held in with clips)

Nothing a tap set won't fix

Bruce I dont suppose you could provide a pic of the pop outs on your van? I'm having a hard time trying to visualize. Cheers.

I'll trade you a pop out for a slider, if you are still looking. I want a slider opposite the side door.

it gets a little stuffy/buggy (you choose)
