Hello all, long time lurker - first time poster. First let me say after reading quite a few posts, it made finding and understanding a Delica much easier. So armed with information, my wife and I bought our Super Exceed last Friday, and so far have used any excuse to go for a drive... see friends, groceries, just go around the block. Quite addictive being on the right side. Have yet to go off road and try the 4x4 system, just taking my time to go over things and "try" and understand how everything works. But rest assured that WILL happen soon.
Any ways, we both hope to be able to contribute our two cents to the forum soon.
Chris & Leslie

Hi Duke and welcome "officially"!
You should know by now that if you're going to brag about a nice ride you have we're all expecting some pictures!!!

Where about are you from? A lot of us are going to meet on the Island for the long weekend, might be a good time to try your 4x4 and do some camping all along...
Enjoy the riding around for no particular reason, it doesn't really wears off!
Cheers,
David

Ya, if you need an excuse for driving it around, then you've got a good reason to go on a four or five hour road trip to the far side of Vancouver Island with the rest of us...
I like your intro: "long-time lurker, first-time poster". <grin>
Anyway, welcome to the group and well met. You'll have to post some pictures of your ride. What colour? What options? What extras?

Well finally got around to taking some pictures of the machine, as you can see it's a parking lot 4x4, no mud bogging there. We were suprised at how clean it was inside and out. We found out it was a one owner van, nice suprise. Did the tale gate lift right after I damed near scalped myself and will be doing a few more subtle changes over the next little while, as the cash flow permits. It does have the cool box, sliding window shades (all but one works, easy fix though), sunroof and it had a Sony TV/am/fm/cd player in it, too bad it didn't work (Japanese). We did have an issue with the brakes though, the passenger side brake line was rotten and started spewing fluid everywhere. So we took it back to Abbotsford Japan Auto and Shingi replaced all the brake hoses in the front and back. He felt really bad that it happened but had to charge me, but only asked for the cost of the parts, no labor. A really honorable man. I'm glad this happened just going to work and not out in the bush.
Anyways, don't want to be too long here. We'll post more pictures as things happen.
