so i am looking at this kit but add a hot fox or some sort of heater.has any one used this system before?

You want the vegtherm mega not standard. Never saaw a vormax but the plant drive guy said it was big and said to go with vegmax so I did.

Well, to start with you are looking at the US version/price which is $50 more than the Canadian version for the VegMax. Then on the first kit you're looking at the VorMax which is pricier and much bigger, not sure where you'd mount it?
As for VegTherm Mega vs. Regular I contacted PlantDrive advising them I'd use it on a Delica and they recommended I'd use the regular and not the Mega. They didn't elaborate on the reason but might be the Mega is overkilled (and larger?).

Weird, they told me the opposite, said to go with the mega. Watching how slowly the fuel temps climb with the mega, I dont think I would have done it differently.

I went with the Mega as well, it is supposed to be for vehicles that get under 25 mpg. The only reason I could see for not going with the Mega is that it might overload your alternator. The minimum suggested alternator rating for the Mega is 90 Amps. I have a Super Exceed with two batteries and I've read that my alternator is either rated to 75 or 90 Amps, I think the regular package alternators are rated lower, maybe 60 Amps?

so im getting that going for the one thats 600 would be smarter then the 400?haha
i havent heard any negative respounces on plant drive, every one is happy with there products?is any one running a hotfox?

what did you guys all get? all the words in the description are so similar i get lost, vegtherm, vormax, blah blah blah.(A.D.D. much )
anyways is it smarter to build your own kit from just buying parts or are these ones pretty good?i htink i would have my bud make me a tank/would save me alot of moeny.

Patty, don't get those confused, the $600 seems to be the Vormax which is not regularly used on the Delica. It's very large and probably puts a big drain on your alternator.
The $400 kit can either be the TTVTM (mega) or TTVTS (regular). The confusion comes from mega suggesting vehicle with less than 25mpg (but also saying larger 6 or 8 cyl) while the regular is for vehicle with over 25mpg (smaller truck, cars...)
In any way, I emailed back Edward at PlantDrive advising of the recent confusion and l'll let you all know once I hear back.

The difference between the TTVTS (regular) and TTVTM (mega) is as follow:
TTVST is 9" long, draws between 16-22 amps and rated for a 55 amps alternator.
TTVTM is almost 12" long, draws between 20-30 amps and rated for a 90 amps alternator.
Even with the winter package/dual battery the alternators are only rated as 75 amps and not as 90 like some believe. (and even less with single battery) The response I got from PlantDrive was that they now suggest the TTVTS kit for the Delica. They said either would work but the TTVTM may put too much extra load on the alternator. Basically, the Delica is sitting on the fence when it comes to choosing between the 2 kits... but the TTVTS is their preferred option.

An added note on Alternators: Mine is 75 amp, I photographed the sticker when I got it rewired recently (ignore what I wrote previously from the Russek Manual, Mardy says the 60/65 is for gas engines and thus Russek manual wrong). Mardy suggests it is not the "winter package" that determines the amps, but whether it is the super exceed with all the toys (electric winding crystal lite covers, air con and heater in rear, electric curtains, etc etc. And I asked if they could rewind my alternator to the 90 or 95 amp but no.

Weird how an 8 amp jump in max draw demands an alternator rated 35 amps higher. I would think a 20 amp higher rated alternator could handle the max 8 amp draw, but that could just be me justifying why I went with the Mega instead of the Standard.

Where did you get the 8 amp draw from? From what I read the regular draws 20 amps average and the mega draws 25 amps average... Maybe I just woke up and can't understand it right?!?

Sorry the 8 amp draw is the difference between the max draw of the Mega vs. the Standard.
TTVST draws between 16-22 amps and TTVTM draws between 20-30 amps (30-22 = 8)
The 20 amp alternator increase is the difference between the Super Exceed (75amp) alternator and the Exceed (55amp) alternator. I know the Super Exceed has all the extra electrical toys which requires the beefier alternator, but 90% of the time I'm not using any of those extra toys when the VegTherm Mega is on.
