Hey
I’m new to the Delica world and am looking to buy one. Just wondering if anyone has any advice on dealers here in the lower mainland. I’ve come across V.I.B, Silk, Maximum overdrive and Japanoid. Any suggestions on a reliable dealer?
Thanks for the Advice
Muzzy

Welcome aboard.
I'd suggest run a search on the forum. there is a few "praise" threads regarding what you're inquiring about.

Be advised the Silk guys do not really service their stock (and I found that they were not even aware of the existing problems), they just make vehicles drivable so you can expect some surprises after driving such a vehicle for a little while.

I bought my Deli from V.I.B motors.they were very friendly and all,but I ended up having to put quite a bit of$$$ into it soon after. Most rubber components tend to rot out after 15 years. i.e.motor mounts tranny mounts suspension rubbers.Other than that I had a pretty good experience with them.I wasn't all that impressed with Silkroad.A little to slap dash.Hope this helps.

There is a lot of praise if you search on 3 local dealers.
I've had first hand experience with VIB and helped 2 people go through complaints with them.
Here's some of what these guys went through and found out about VIB:
They buy Grade 1-2 vehicles and ship them over for dirt cheap
Engine shampoo, steam clean underneath, full auto detail
touch up scratches and paint over frame rust
bondo fill dents
sell with Japanese tires still on vehicles shined up
then add 4-5,000 per vehicle pure profit and stick on a price tag
If you really take your time and go through any of the Delica's they have there with a fine tooth comb on your own (without the saleman breathing down your neck), you will have a good idea of what I'm talking about.
This is the tip of the iceberg. Shoot me a PM if you'd like specifics and on what vehicles.
