elsbett SVO for delicas

german company called elsbett makes a straight vegetable oil conversion kit for a number of diesel engines including delica's - has anyone done this or know of anyone who has .....

Hey John,
I am in Cowichan station.
I am looking into the conversion kit and thinking about doing it in the future. I learnt about it from the Journey to Forever website and it looks promising. However, I don't read German or know anyone who has it or anyone who has done an installation.

I have been using two Delicas with Gocanola systems, a two tank system, successfully for over a year for no problems so far. If I was to set up a new vehicle I would go with a Vormax filter or such, I do heavy filtering and de-watering before filling because my in vehicle WVO fuel system only has a 30 micron inline filter. My favorite conversion I have seen so far was a

http://www.vegpower.com/ in a benz seemed pretty sound recently.
Where to put a big heated filter in a Deli' is a challenge, I'd be glad to answer any questions also.
Kev - me thinks more veggie Deli's good! :lol:

well, I'm only two weeks into this vehicle (definite love affair) but the intent was to run it on bio. I will be looking at all the options so thanks for the info. Kuan - I live in cowichan station as well so looks like we will be talking soon.

Just an FYI...the Vormax is no longer made, and we have replaced it with the TurboFyner or the VegMax 2 (aka VM2) filter which work as well or better (better heated in winter, still have a prefilter/separator function, as well as a 5 micron element)
The best mounting point for these filters, IMO, (VM2 and TurboFyner) is behind the left front fender liner, drill holes right through wheel arch, mount on back side of wheel arch. If mounting valves on the filter itself (two 3-port valves), use spacer plates, and use reinforcing plates, the wheel arch metal is not terribly thick, it will support the filter but best to add reinforcing if adding cantilevered weight of valves.
