Real-Time Tracking of Attendance Status?

It would be great if we could have an automated system where users could track their attendance status in real time (Definitly Will Attend, Probably Will Attend, Probably Won't Attend, etc.), as well as certain other variables (number of affiliated family members, other guests, or pets).
Does anyone know of a php Script that would accomplish this?
