Surprises with new Delica - Fuel injection and coolant

So I'm trouble shooting my delica starting a... uh a little rough as soon as temperature drops, and there a lot of awesome threads here for helping me out. But then I came across two odd things that i doubt many other people have come across.
a) return fuel rail on injectors might be on upside down? the return line that goes back to the IP is off the third injector instead of the second like I'm seeing in images online... Is this negligible? Or a huge red flag? I have no idea... Just got the injectors tested. have reinstalled them and realized the rail from my before pictures was different. Should I flip it back around?
b) I found a set of vice grips crimping a coolant hose on one side of a tee that's attached to an aftermarket coolant heater i've found installed. I'm assuming this was a quick fix to some leak. I haven't had any overheating problems. Haven't been driving it enough to observe any coolant loss. I guess I'm asking if I'm looking in the right direction in regards to this being a leak. (This subject I haven't done a lot of due diligence with looking into yet as i'm focusing on the starting.)
Anyways! Thought I'd just throw this out there, and now i gotta get back to testing my glow plugs.
