Hi guys,
recently I posted in the General Discussion and would highly appreciate your opinions to my following questions as well.
I am going to ship my car, after the journey from Germany to Malaysia, to Vancouver in April 2017.
Recently I found a guy in Kuala Lumpur/Malaysia who could build me in a pop top roof - selfmade! He won´t use fiberglass instead metal and would not provide the surrounding fabric (which I can import or buy it later) - he asks me for 500 USD.
I don´t want to sleep in the pop top but like to stand up in the car as well as get better air circulation.
How likely is it to find a second hand pop top roof in Canada at the wrecker?
How much would it cost to let somebody build that in?
What could the guy in Malaysia do wrong?
Is there anything I have to be aware of?
What are your Pro´s and Cons regarding asian quality vs. canadian second hand ware?
I would be very pleased to get any info or opinion.
Thank you.

Second hand or new Pop Top ?
Hi Thomas, a former member (lost2) had made a custom Pop-top (http://www.delica.ca/forum/viewtopic.ph ... finitively) for his Van. His Delica was unfortunatly wrecked las fall and another member (Fleury) bought it for spare used parts. You can contact Fleury and make him an offer for the Pop-Top, he is in Quebec. Just put it on your own Van top, tight it and installed it whenever you decide to make a hole in your roof
