When I turn my headlights on for my 1992 Mitsubishi Pajero the dash lights go out .

Any ideas what would cause this ?

Not sure, mine only dims a bit but are very close when the dimmer feature is at max. Maybe the dimmer pot has failed or has a loose wire.
