I have been working on a new rack at work on my off time as well as a side ladder and getting rid of my old set up. I just finished welding the rack and have not started the ladder yet but will be very shortly. Im looking to see if anyone has any ideas as to how i can improve it before i send it to get powder coated. I think I want to add a bracket to to hold a small shovel and axe but haven't decided yet. Im getting it powder coated orange. I am mounting a thule cargo carrier next to it so i have a lockable and waterproof spot.

I made it so it would be light weight. its only about 35lbs.

What will you do with your old basket ? Would you ship it ?

It looks good. Will the new rack hold your body weight? Gotta love custom.

Tested it to about 300lbs. Hopefully that's all I need.

As far as the rack goes. I would shop it at buyers expense.

Just like the snorkel I just got the rack powder coated as well as the clamps the hold the rack up. I also bought the thule carrier. I will post more pics when I get it on the van in the next couple days.

Gotta love your gutter attachments too, simple and very ingenious.

Just got the carrier painted and mounted. Now to start the ladder.

Looks very nice. Love the orange! Wish I could weld. There is much talent on this site. Can't wait to see the ladder.

Appreciate the kind words. I think I have figured out how to mount the ladder on the side and I have been building it over the last few nights. Should be built pretty soon but undue exactly when it will get powder coated. I'll post pics shortly.
