Cooling system, switching to Extended Life Coolant!

Hey guys, has anyone made the big switch from Inorganic Acid Technology (IAT) coolant to the new Extended Life Coolant? I've made a fair bit of research on it and decided to do it. Switching to ECL my engine will greatly increased by 10 to 15% its heat transfer.

I've completely flushed the rad and block, (back flush) and replaced my thermostat. I checked my water pump, water jacket, head, rad cap, surge tank and hoses.

By the way, before I made the switch, my EGT gauge would read 330F-375F @ idle. Now with ELC it reads 230F. I've double checked my work and even added a long time over due Block Heater...

So far so good!!!

Thanks for the post, seems like you did a lot of research and it paid off.

How much volume fluid did it take when fully flushed? And did you decide on a specific brand once you did all that research?

I'd like to take advantage of the new technology and your hard work
