Hi all,

I can't remember when I got bitten by the the Delica bug. I've always loved the the VW Vans and while cool the Delica is so much more functional. Anyway I think I'm still a couple years off of getting my first Delica but I want to start learning as much as I can so I can make the best informed decision when the time comes. My goal is to drive from Alaska to Patagonia if I make it that far who knows why stop there.

At this point I'm pretty clueless I"m still trying to figure out L300 vs L400 so I'll be doing all the reading I can. There is an overwhelming amount of information here so any suggestions on where to start would be appreciated. I'd also like to get some hands on experience repairing and maintaining a Delica, so if there's any one in the area that is doing that and would like an extra set of hands I'd be happy to help if you don't mind explaining the process to me.

Best of luck to all of you, your rides and travels

Welcome to the board. If you want to turn a wrench on some L300s my house is known as "The house all the weird vans".... currently on deck..

My L300 (Delilah) needs its turbo removed and new gaskets installed. Light bars wired in, wheel bearings and ball joints

My buddies van (Cherryl) needs a full engine build after her block cracked...

Super biggie has a parasitic draw on his electrical system

And Bruce needs an injection pump installed...

take you pick ;)
