New kid on the block

Hello all! I'm excited to say, I've just imported my first Delica!

It arrived about a week ago from Osaka and has yet to pass the inspection.. Anyhow, it's a 1998 Super Exceed PF8W (V6 LWB) with 145,000KM. After looking over it yesterday with a fine toothed comb, (As expected) I've got a long road ahead of me for parts that need replacing.. mostly suspension bushings etc. On top of that I'll be throwing on a 2" lift with some new shoes and likely going to test my skills by doing the timing belt on my own.

I'm hoping to be able to lean on some members for DIY tips/tricks throughout this rebuild. Once it's in good running shape, the interior will be gutted(Yes, spare parts to come available) and retrofitted to be a proper camper van for an upcoming trip down to patagonia in January 2016. I will try to post as much of the work and progress as I can, hoping to learn from the guru's out there and maybe even inspire & teach others from my trials and tribulations!

Fingers crossed :-D

Congratulations, Croftcastles ~ welcome to Delica Canada :M

You can access the shop manual in the L400 Dedicated Category Reference Forum for when you take on the timing chain. Great to have you on board!
