Let's get together again at Ikea 7:00 Wednesday June 25th for our next Delica meet. Ikea in Coquitlam is still the best place for a meet. There's food till 9:00, good parking and daylight till 10:00. A Wednesday meet still gives you time to pack for the next weekend trip.

Bring your old and new Delicas, your projects and your ideas for this summers camping. New members are welcome, we're a friendly bunch and eager to welcome newbys into our group.

Everyone in the Delica community is welcome. If you know of any other JDM or 4 wheel groups feel free to invite them.

See you on the 25th. Bring your camera.

Ps. Ikea Coquitlam information pickets go home in the early afternoon.

Hi Everyone,

Sorry to intrude! I'm a journalist with The Globe and Mail. I recently arrived in Vancouver and was amazed at all the Delicas on the road - you don't really see them much in Ontario! Since my job is to write about some of the interesting ways Canada is connected to Asian economies, and since Delicas are being imported from Japan and are being adapted to West Coast ways, I was just wondering if some people here might want to talk to me for a little feature I've started to work on.

I'm basically interested in why you've gravitated toward the Delica over other vehicles - and why you're so enthusiastic about it. It strikes me as sort of a camper van / VW van for a new generation of adventurers, or people who love the outdoors - but maybe that's wrong? I'd love to hear from you about why you love it, what you use it for, etc.

It would be great to talk to whoever started this group, too!

Will you be coming to the mini meet tonight, Iain? If you ask nicely you might just get any one of the members to talk (a little bit) about their wagon.

We'll be meeting at the south-east corner of the carpark at IKEA in Coquitlam. It's right beside the Number One Hwy, take the Brunette Avenue exit (Exit 40); keep left over the highway; right (east) on the Lougheed Hwy for one light, keep right; take right and wrap around the south side of IKEA, between the highway and IKEA; take the left at the south-east corner of the carpark.
