Hello all! I'm Alain and i just purchased an 1991 L300 2.5L DT. I got it for a song cuz i had to fix it to bring it home. I've been driving it to work for the past few days to iron out the few gremlins and for usual maintenance. Though it has 302000 km (i was never afraid of millage) it was fairly well maintained. It has: new head, new turbo, injector cleaned with IP timed, new chocks on all corners, new tie rods with alignment, new alternator, decent treads (very noisy). From driving it it's clear i need a water pump (making grumbling noise) which i purchased from CVI because they give free advice and pointers. Plus they are very friendly and obviously know what the heck they are talking about. It drives straight and true and it's quite peppy with no smoke. Oh and i should replace the mounts soon, they have small cracks.
i'm very happy with my purchase and Marie and the kids are crazy about it. We are going camping with it for sure. The crystal light roof is a nice touch along with the rotating captain seats.
Before you ask yeah, i'm French Canadian, no, i'm not a separatist.(outa the way)

We live in Surrey and i work at YVR, Head of Maintenance for one of the airplane refueling company there. i could tell you which one but i'm going to have to kill you afterward. I have a few mods in mind for a removable table and a nice redneck awning. i'm not going to make permanent mods for Marie will be using it for errands with all three kids (It will replace the Nissan Quest we own). I've already found very good advice on this forum which will make my life simpler when it comes to fixin' the thing.

Tx, Al.

Bienvenu Alain! Welcome to Delica Canada. :M

I suspect you have already discovered the "Delica FAQ Section" and the "L300 Dedicated Category Reference Forum", if not then I would recommend them. Do you have a name for your Delica?

Falco.

Tx! I forgot to mention that all the work done on it previous to my purchase was at CVI. They had all the records. Neat!

Ok, i'll tell you a secret: the white fuel trucks there? Part of my fleet! 8-) Another "secret": Swissport personel are the most respected ground crew at YVR. By a long stretch.

Well I wouldn't say respected but we are the toughest! Servisair has like 6-7 guys on a flight (non wide body) while we are lucky to have three on a single Westjet flight!! aren't those white fuel trucks operated by ASIG?
