parts availability?

Well... Things aren't looking so good for the Delica... I rolled it onto her side... Only superficial damage, but they might be writing her off......
Anyways, love my Delica, but if she's gone, I might try something different. I was thinking maybe a Mitsubishi Canter Guts (fd501b, which comes with a 4M40 and 4wd, I believe).... But here's the question: if I got a canter guts, which is a lot smaller than a regular canter, how am I to get parts, like control arms or brakes? Can I ask an automotive place here to get? Maybe someone on the left coast that deals in delica stuff could get and mail to me? Just wondering....??

If it does get written off look into keeping it to sell the parts... engine ect worth money... if you have the space

Ideally, I keep my delica, and just fix her. But if I can't, and I do get a canter guts which is where I'm leaning..... can I get spare parts for it readily?

I want a canter too - l love cabovers, and it's still in the mitsubishi family. These trucks are often chosen for expedition plaforms because they are so easy to get serviced around the world. Fuso's are less exotic than delicas.
I like this one: I have a few others posted here, mixed in with bunch of other stuff:

Hey Andy,
The last time I talked to MPI if ANY RHD is in an accident its gonna be a write off and irrepairable. Why, you ask, because they do not want to deal with them. They wouldn't outright say that to me but that's the underlying message I was getting from them. About your other issue I would email some dealers like RisingSun, CVI, Rocky mountain and see what parts they can get for you.

Well, I had a real thinkin session last night, and came to the realization that if delica is done, I would get myself...... Another delica. They are just awesome, but I have some questions about newer delica, so I will start a new thread...
