Hi all, I've been working on a 91 L300 LWB 5 door since end of May 2013. I would call it a journey of discovery and redemption.

Thought I'd share / brag / expose myself.

Still going, nearly there, need to take a holiday... in the van.

All work on the van is done in the driveway... the driveway slopes enough to make low ratio desirable for manoeuvering.

Yep!

Non-turbo, 2.5D, wanted a LWB to make it better for camping, I don't think there is a hi roof in these. 4x4 has manual hubs, almost all the running gear now has come off a starwagon I got off a backpacker. 8 month rebuild

cheers looking forward to getting off road for some peace and quiet

Ahh, but where is the novelty of having RHD and driving on the left hand side of the road. Unless yours is a LHD????

Enjoy and welcome.

Hey thats awsome pinkie. I honestly thought the lwb models were a myth.Does yours have duel sliders? Nice work on cleaning up the front end but i noticed you dont have the front bash plates and wind scoop on any more. Does your van run hot? Have you removed all of your ac coz you dont have a condensor in front of the radiator?
Looks great keep us updated!

slides each side yeah, really handy. Baseline cargo van model, no aircon and only a basic removable folding frame vinyl bench style seat in the rear. Bash plates ready to go on after wheel alignment, seems to run cold or the sensor is broken maybe, or the thermostat maybe removed thats another job. Scoop? Is that the large flat plate?
