Removing/covering rear heater controls

So I'm in the process of camperizing the van and am planning out my cabinets. I'm trying to decide what to do with the rear heater controls. I don't really care to retain the ability to control the temp in the back and am wondering first how hard it is to rip it all out? Secondly how? Depending on the level of effort, what about just securing it and covering it all up? Want to make sure I take of any potential electrical issues with this approach as I unplugged 2 wiring harness points (see pics).

Thanks in advance for any direction.

My dream is to remove the rear heat and install a Webasto while still using the stock venting!!
