Do all-wheel drive Van/Wagons exist?

So I browse Craigslist regularly hoping to secure a 'sister ship' to my current Van. This ad caught my eye today:

Picture in case it disappears:

I can't seem to find any mentioned of 4WD or AWD in period literature or on info sites. Was this actually an option? When I called the seller, he said it was a 'special order' for the LS trim, but didn't know much about it otherwise.

I figure if anyone would know, it would be someone here! So what are your thoughts?

I've never seen or heard of that shape L300 with any kind of 4WD except the Montero/Pajero based system, which always has the 6-stud wheel hubs.

I can't imagine why Mitsubishi would go to the effort of fitting an AWD system to a vehicle they already had a 4WD version of. Ask him for a photo of the front driveshafts ;-)

Perhaps the vendor means that the Vanwagon has all the wheels.

Falco.

I think the claim is probably false. Nevertheless, as of a few moments ago, the seller has dropped his price to 1K.

Someone out west wanna bite? I want to, but the cost of transport is realistically too much to justify.

I'm going to go out there and take a look at it this week. I've been in contact with the seller and they assure me it's AWD.

I'm skeptical about it too. If I end up buying it, I'll show everyone what's really going on.
