How many volts to 6v glow plugs?

Ok so in my 92 deli someone installed a manual flow plug switch and I checked the glow plugs two are 11v and the other 2 are 6v.....so checked the power Going to the bus bar and I got 9v..... Does this mean I need 6v plugs?

yes they are 6v, 12v is supplied, timed for quick heat start up, then switches from another relay to 12v. i had to bypass timer box (located rt. side behind window post) wire in a push button switch to the 6v relay, takes about 15 sec. holding switch, if wired to the 12v relay will burn out glow plugs much sooner.

I just checked the voltage on my 91 and it varies up to about 9.8 v during the 5 or 6 seconds before it clicks off. It must be feed with 12v, reduced to 9.8 due to voltage drop. The resistance of the glow plug will affect both voltage and current @ the plug if they are not matched . I have genuine Green top Mitsubishi in my van.

Thanks guys that was what I thought but wanted to make sure. Going to get some new 6v plugs then CCA has some genuine mitsubishi plugs I think I'll get.
