Greetings!

Just picked up my new to me L300 yesterday. Judging by the sticker on the rear window its already known to Delica.ca. I'll snap photos when I feel its worthy of pics... Spent the better part of yesterday breathing some life back into the rather neglected paint. Few more days worth of work and I think I'll be happy. Couple questions though... oil... I assume 10W40... but are there any special additives the oil requires? (low ash?) A/C... I assume these are R12 systems and will require retrofitting to R134A, do I assume correct? Finally the rear captains seats.. one of them doesn't latch into place the and the seat is free slide all over.. great fun who ever is sitting in it but I have a feeling this isn't supposed to happen.. and can't be all that safe. has anybody run into this issue before I go ripping the seats apart for no reason?

Any oil used in other similar vehicles is fine.

You will get quite the debate though, from various people on here.

I use 5-30 in winter, 15-40 in summer. 10-30 should be fine as long as it does not get too cold where you are.

The seat issue should be easy to diagnose, remove the 4 nuts holding the seat to the floor to remove the seat. there is a pronged metal bracket that fits into the sliders, that locks the seat in position. maybe it wasn't seated properly before, maybe something is jammed... shouldn't be too hard to figure it out though

Very late L300s are R134a, earlier are R12, you should have a sticker under the engine cover.
