L400 rear window pop out bolts

So I had BOTH bolts that hold on the rear window pop out latches come out while camping this weekend. Lots of very bumps fsr. I forgot to close them open for the trip, and I guess open there is less tension.
Gotta love duct tape for quick fixes.


Are these specific, or would one from a dodge caravan or 80s hatch work?

Figured id ask.

According to the Oz forum, these pop off on a regular basis. They recommend clear tape over the bolts on the outside. The Oz folks even sell special stickers for that.

I can't say as to what the replacement ones are though.

I just had mine replaced at CVI.

Buy a metric bolt kit at Princess Auto. Never know when you're going to need replacement bolts. One of the sizes fits the windows.

Some of my window bolts fell out on both my L300 and L400, even though they were tightend occassionally.

Gotta love duct tape.

This happened to me last summer, I used a bolt and a rubber grommet. I've been to the wreckers and grabbed a couple replacements but none have fit properly, so the bolt and grommet are still there. Good to know replacements are available in canada though.

I bought the stickers from ToMe on the Aus forum and some replacement Delica decals on the tailgate. Haven't tried them out yet, but I am sure they will help.
